the question is which au do you mean? there’s my old warhorse nukestuck, which is going to be a year old this summer (wow i cant even grok that jfc), or my new baby au that i’ve started writing bits and pieces of on my phone at work
the tl;dr summary of nuclearstuck is that it’s set on an earth where everything is more or less the same—except the alternian imperial fleet invaded in the early years of the cold war, and were repelled with an all-out nuclear strike that took out the head of the fleet. now the descendants of the trolls that were on the crashed ships (and a few of the original alternian trolls) live on earth with humans, or in troll-only districts scattered around the americas. the overall plot is not as epic as all that makes it sound, and it’s mostly about dave and rose and the trolls they associate with, but uh it seems people like it! so yeah
new baby au doesnt have a name but it’s basically me trying my hand at davekat, and also at a high school au because i like to see if i can successfully subvert tropes i guess; it’s kind of inspired by a particular popular davekat fic that i shall not name (unless you ask nicely in private lol) that i kind of detest for being so poorly thought-out and also for throwaway racist lines wow!
